Terms of Service
1. Agreement
By creating a parent account on EmpowerStudents.in (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and the DPDP Act 2023 consent recorded at registration. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What the Platform does
EmpowerStudents provides an AI-powered 360° child growth assessment: a voice interview with the child, a structured parent intake, and an AI-generated report with scores, goals and action plans across 12 developmental domains. Optionally, a team of real experts (pediatricians, counsellors, tutors, coaches) delivers follow-up programs online or in-person.
3. Not medical advice
The AI-generated report is an educational and developmental tool, not a medical diagnosis. It does not replace consultation with a qualified physician, psychiatrist, psychologist, or other healthcare professional. If the report or any expert raises concerns that could indicate a medical or mental health condition, please consult a licensed professional.
4. Parental responsibility
You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child whose profile you create on the Platform. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for the supervision, well-being and safety of your child during any use of the Platform.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Register a child without parental/legal-guardian authority
- Submit false, misleading or harmful information
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the AI API
- Resell or redistribute our reports to third parties without written consent
- Use the Platform in any way that violates Indian law or harms other users
6. AI limitations
The Platform uses large-language-model technology (Claude by Anthropic). AI systems can make mistakes, produce biased output, or miss important nuances. We provide best-effort prompting and fallbacks, but you should treat any AI-generated text as a starting point — not an absolute truth. Our expert team reviews and refines reports when you opt into a paid program.
7. Fees & refunds
The AI assessment and initial report are free. Expert follow-up programs (online or offline) are paid services. Fees and refund policies for paid programs are disclosed before you make any payment.
8. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the data you submit and the AI reports generated for your child — you are free to print, share and archive them. The Platform's code, design, prompts, and expert curriculum remain the property of EmpowerStudents.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard or by emailing support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the AI API, or attempt harmful behaviour.
10. Warranty disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, nor specific outcomes from any growth plan.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EmpowerStudents' total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which may be zero for free users).
12. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective version is always shown at the top of this page and recorded in your consent receipt. Material changes will be notified by email.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by Indian law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of India.
